In the year 1925, some committed college going students reflected and deliberated on value of women education. They deeply thought what, how and who should impart education to women. This resulted in starting a school in a room of a private house. These committed youths were, Late S/s Balawantbhai Mehta, ( later became Chief Minister of Gujarat ) Amrutlal Dani and Bhupatbhai Mehta.
Persons like late S/s Zaverchand Meghani, Taraben Modak, pioneer of Montessori Education system Gijubhai Badheka, Dr. Ramanlal Yagnik, Vinodben & Narmadashankar Rawal offered their services to the Trust.
It was felt that an independent school building was essential and the then ruler of erstwhile Gohilwad State, His Highness Krishnakumarsinhji offered 50% of the total expenditure.
An initial fund of Rs. 70,000/- was collected and the building of Mahila Vidyalay was constructed in the year 1925.
