ABOUT EXCEL SCHOOL OF NURSING

Smt. R.D.Gardi Bhavnagar Stree Kelavani Mandal (BSKM) was conducting one year course of "Community Medical Assistant" since many years in of its institutes. It had very good employment avenus for semi literate women.

Looking to this and potential job opporuniies in the Nursing sector, Trustees decided to start 3 year Genral Nursing and Midwifery course in the year 2008 with the approval of Goverment of Gujarat, Gujarat Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council. This was the first self finance Nursing school in Bhavnagar. It was housed in "Smt. Savitriben Ramniklal Menta building" owned by the Trust.

In the mean time, potantial donors were approched for constructing independent building. Along with seeding money offered by Excel Crop Care Ltd, Bhavnagar, a leading Agro Chemical Industry, many philenthropists offered donations. In 2010 the independent building was constructed with straight of art Labaratory models and educational aids.

Responding to the demand, 2 years Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery Course was also started in the uear 2014.
